What is PumpFun?

PumpFun (also known as pumpdotfun on X) is a trading platform on the Solana blockchain designed to make token launches simple and fair. Developers can launch their tokens without any fees, and importantly, they don’t retain any initial supply. This structure prevents “rug pulls,” where developers might otherwise abandon a project stealing the liquidity pool and leave investors with worthless tokens.

Both developers and traders have to buy tokens on the open market i.e. pumpfun, ensuring a level playing field for everyone.

Why Has PumpFun Gained Popularity?

PumpFun has quickly risen in popularity due to its transparency and security. Since May 24, the platform has facilitated nearly 2 million token launches and now accounts for about 25% of Solana’s daily trading volume. With approximately 5,000 new tokens launched daily, PumpFun has become a major hub for token trading on Solana.

How Do Tokens Gain Visibility on PumpFun?

With around 5,000 tokens being launched daily on PumpFun, it can be challenging for new tokens to attract attention from traders and investors. To address this, PumpFun uses a unique metric called the bump order to determine which tokens are featured on the main homepage.

A bump order is based on the transaction volume a token receives. The size and nature of each transaction — whether it’s large or small, a buy or a sell — are irrelevant. What matters is the number of transactions. The more transaction count a token has, the higher its chances of trending on PumpFun’s main page, increasing its visibility and attracting more interest from the community.

Introducing Bumpi: The Bump-bot for PumpFun Tokens

To help tokens gain visibility, HyperSol has introduced Bumpi, a bump-bot designed specifically for PumpFun developers and users. Bumpi helps users to “bump” their desired token, pushing it to the front of the PumpFun homepage.

Users of Bumpi can customize the bot’s actions by specifying details such as the number of transactions per minute, transaction size and total transaction count. Each transaction contains one buy and one sell transaction. Once these parameters are set, the bot starts buying and selling the token, increasing its transaction count and improving its bump order ranking. This strategy helps tokens gain more exposure on the platform, making it easier for them to attract traders and investors.

How to Use Bumpi

Bumpi is designed to be simple and user-friendly, making it easy for anyone to start the bot for their token.

Follow these steps to get started:

Access the Bump Bot: Open your browser and navigate to https://app.hypersol.xyz/pumpfun-bump-bot/start. Connect your Phantom or Solflare wallet to the dApp to get started.

2. Load Your Token: Once connected, load the token you want to bump with the Bumpi bot. Enter the required inputs, such as transaction rate and amount, and pay the necessary fees.

3. Confirm the Transaction: After entering the details, confirm the transaction in your browser to pay the fees. Once the transaction is confirmed, you will be automatically redirected to the manage section, where you can view the details and status of your bot.

Fees Associated with Bumpi

Using the Bumpi bot involves a standard fee of `0.00015 * (1 + r/60)` SOL per transaction, where `r` is the number of transactions per minute.

PumpFun also charges a 1% fee per transaction. However, since the typical transaction amount is low (e.g., 0.01 SOL), 1% of that amount is negligible. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about this additional cost.
